Overall a good set for the price. I shopped around this was the best set I found for the price. The wood is much better then other sets I found. The main downside of the set is that the mallet shafts don't screw into the heads that well. All I did was put a screw through the bottom of the head into the shaft and that did the trick. I am very pleased with this product. I used and returned other sets before I found this one.

    I priced these types of sets at other stores and
    their prices were much higher. I had used older sets and found that the new set was styled with
    threads on the wooden shaft to screw into the mallet which makes it safer than some of the older
    sets without this safety aspect.

          I can't return this item because it's too late to do so. Our 4th of July would be ruined. But I would have because of the incredibly poor paint job on the croquet set. A two year old could keep the lines straight better than this manufacturer. Makes the "deluxe" set appear cheap and ugly. TRULY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE QUALITY CONTROL OF BOTH THE MANUFACTURER AND HAYNEEDLE. In reality it looks NOTHING LIKE THE ONLINE PHOTO.

FIRST, ONE OF THE HEADS ON THE MALLETS WOULD NOT ATTACH TO THE HANDLE, THE HANDLE WAS STRIPPED SO IT JUST SPUN AROUND. #2: ON THE FIRST TIME WE PLAYED THE GAME A HANDLE SNAPPED IN HALF!!! 3RD: THE MALLETS DO NOT FIT IN THE STORAGE BAG UNLESS YOU REMOVE THEM FROM THE HANDLES! GENIUS DESIGN EH? THIS SET IS MADE FROM PRESSED WOOD CHIPS PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
