I wish the storage bag was larger so the assembled mallets would fit it. I keep the mallets in the UPS box the set was delivered in because I do not want to keep disassembling them.

      I've been playing croquet with the family, all my life, from two generations before me to two generations after. This set feels a little light weight and fragile to me. I'm afraid if I try to hit the ball very far through the grass, I might break the mallet. We shall see!

        The staining of the wood was ok, but the paint was pretty thin and scratched easily. The mallets are not hardwood and the threading on the handles is very poorly done. The head of the mallet is drilled almost too loose to hold the handle. The hammer and stake cap did not come in the package. [...]...the franklin set was let down.

          Set is fine, however one handle and head did not screw together. I will have to find a way to glue them. The carrying case is nice - just needs to be a few inches longer to use esily.

            My husband and I got this set to causally play croquet with our friends in the park. We only received it mid-week and by the weekend had already played two games. Everyone loves croquet. The traveling case made transporting it very easy and the set suited our needs and skill level just fine. Upon disassembling one of the mallets lost its ribbing. I contacted customer service and they more than amply remedied the situtation free of charge. I would definitely recommend doing business with this company.
