We used this set for our recreational tournament, everyone commented on how nice it was.

worth the price and handsome set with great carrying bag.

we also used the set from Restoration Hardware, while this set came with a 'nice' stand, disappointed in how flimsy the RH set was compared to this one.

Product did not meet my expectations

I bought the product to play with my granddaughter in the backyard. Mallet handles and heads had nicks, scratches and runs in the finish when I unpacked them, prior to any use. The stakes look like a child painted them. The paint bled and has runs. After the first use one of the balls has a large nick with a sharp edge. By the time I noticed it had already put a large nick in the mallet head. This was under normal play, nothing rough or any hard hitting. The ball will have to be sanded before it can be used again. The handle on the carrying case has loose stitching. The carrying case inserts are hard to pack in the case to get the weight evenly distributed. I am very disappointed in this product and expected a better quality product from Hayneedle.

      I don't know about the durability of this product since I haven't used it for very long. It seems sturdy and well built. The 36" mallets are great... completely worth the extra cost between a cheaper, short set and this. I have two issues with it that I think could be easily improved. First the wickets aren't as long as they should be to be firmly anchored in the ground and also tall enough above the grass. Second, the bag. It looks NOTHING like the picture. Everything fits in there nicely... IF you break it all down. I don't like to unscrew the mallet heads everytime (it will just make them wear out faster). There are 5 bags with this thing. It took awhile to figure out which was for what. They should have just included a couple bags and made the big bag big enough to fit the complete mallets.
